Over the weekend, alberta broke the 1,700 mark for new daily cases, with a total of more than 5,000 cases being reported in the past three days. There are now 13,719 active cases in the province, an increase of 370. Another 14 deaths were recorded over the weekend — five on saturday and nine on sunday.
1,077 cases were confirmed across the province, bringing the total to 51,878.
Alberta’s case count on thursday was higher than ontario where 1,824 cases were found and quebec which reported 1,470. Five new deaths were also reported, bringing the provincial death toll to 357. 355 people are in hospital, an increase of seven, including 71.
