Hike the chain lakes trail and in 0.25 mile, turn right on the table mountain trail.
The trail starts by heading east from the parking lot along kulshan ridge. The trail starts at the artist point trailhead. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. This trail is very popular and remains snow covered for most of the year.
