Cat's Eye Nebula Hubble

New

Cat's Eye Nebula Hubble. The cat's eye nebula, also known as ngc 6543, is a visual fossil record of the dynamics and late evolution of a dying star. This nebula's dying central star may have produced the simple, outer pattern of dusty concentric shells by shrugging off outer layersin a series of regular convulsions.

The full beauty of the cat's eye nebula (ngc 6543) is revealed in this new, detailed view from nasa's hubble space telescope. The cat's eye nebula from hubble image credit: An image of the cat’s eye nebula captured with the hubble space telescope.

The cat's eye nebula (ngc 6543), seen in detail by the nasa/esa hubble space telescope, is one of the most complex planetary nebulae ever seen in space.

The cat's eye nebula, also known as ngc 6543, is a visual fossil record of the dynamics and late evolution of a dying star. The hubble space telescope has observed about 100 of these objects, starting with the cat’s eye nebula in 1994. The image from hubble's advanced camera for surveys (acs) shows a bull's eye pattern of eleven or even more concentric rings, or shells, around the cat's eye. This nebula's dying central star may have produced the simple, outer pattern of dusty concentric shells by shrugging.
