I'm guessing the bed frame itself (headboard/footboard/side rails) is another 100 lbs or so, and the steel slat rails i have installed (see below) are another 22 lbs. Your box spring rails need to be strong solid wood that are at least 3/4 thick and 2 1/4 wide. Diy a platform storage bed. I'm using construction grade 2 by 4s. I have seen many types of bed risers but don't trust them for this.please let me know if you have any ideas.
