Even after upgrading to air 3.7 and successfully packaging a 96x96 icon, google play is still rejecting my apk because an icon is missing.
There is also the high resolution icon to be produced for the google play store listing. Definitely not sure the 96x96 png icon is important. It works fine on most browsers (google chrome, mozilla firefox and opera) but on microsoft edge it doesn't work (it shows the default tab favicon). But it can take more than a dozen of picture to get the job done.
