How To Measure Cabinets For Kitchen. Measure the height of the cabinet from the kitchen countertop to its base. Working out from the corner, work one wall at a time.
Measure and note the ceiling height and any existing soffits. Measure the space between your ceiling and the top of the cabinet. If your kitchen isn’t a classic square shape, measure the shorter walls too (d, e & f).

Bottom to top of windows; If the kitchen has soffits, measure from the floor to the bottom of the soffit. Take a tape measure and measure the distance between the floor and the ceiling. Start with the overall kitchen shape (square, rectangle).
