How To Tie Dye Sweatshirt With Bleach. Tie dyeing traditionally is done with a white shirt and then you add color to it. Since bleach removes the color, the resulting sweatshirt will be the absence of the dye.

Using a splash of bleach, take your sweatshirt and dip it in. I wanted to make sure my wine stain was bleach, so i left it out. However, when you use bleach you are actually taking color away, this is why it’s called reverse tie dyeing.
